With the founders of chipmusic event Blip Festival going on hiatus earlier this year, and last night’s Tokyo Blip Festival being the last for the foreseeable future, Australian chipmusic fans had reason to fear the worst.
Luckily, Kristy Dossor and Eugene Davoren-Britton, the duo behind Blip Festival Australia and SoundBytes are picking up the slack and putting on Square Sounds Melbourne.
The festival will run over two nights and already organisers have Cheapshot, Chronic Sans, cTrix, Doshy, Jayson Haebich, Mr. Spastic, Omodaka, Other Places and starPause locked in to play, and there are still more to be announced.
Square Sounds will take over the Evelyn Hotel at Fitzroy on February 15 and 16 next year.
